Call for Workshop Proposals

The 5th International Conference on Innovative Computing (ICIC), technically sponsored by IEEE, is hosting a series of workshops as part of its dynamic program. These workshops will focus on key themes such as Big Data, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, and Quantum Computing. Bringing together experts from both academia and industry, the workshops aim to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange through interactive sessions. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities and discussions, exploring the latest advancements and practical applications shaping the future of these fields.

We invite you to submit proposals for workshops that will enhance the conference experience. All
deadlines provided below are 11:59 PM GMT +5 hours (“anywhere on Earth”)

Workshop Proposal Template

The proposal should contain:

  • Workshop Title
  • Include a brief description (150-200 words) outlining the workshop's objectives and
  • relevance.
  • A short description of the planned activities (talks, posters, panels).
  • Indicate the proposed length of the workshop (e.g., half-day or full-day).
  • List the names and affiliations of the workshop organizers/presenters.
  • An estimate of the number of attendees.
  • A description of special requirements and technical needs, where relevant.

Evaluation Criteria

Workshop proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria. Their order below does
not reflect their importance.

  • Relevance to the ICIC audience: The proposed workshop should align with the themesand topics of the conference, such as Big Data, Robotics, AI, and Computing, ensuringthat it addresses the interests and needs of participants from both academia and industry.
  • Potential impact: Proposals should demonstrate how the workshop will contribute to advancing knowledge, spark new ideas, or provide practical solutions that can influence current research and industry practices.
  • Quality and clarity of the proposal: The submission should be well-structured, with clear objectives, an engaging format, and a detailed agenda that outlines the key topics, activities, and outcomes participants can expect.
  • Organizer's; relevant expertise: The experience and qualifications of the organizers will be considered to ensure they possess the necessary knowledge and background to lead an effective and insightful workshop.

Terms and Conditions for Workshop:

  • Each workshop must attract a minimum of 10 registered participants to qualify for the session.
  • Presenters will receive 50% of the registration fees collected from participants, provided the minimum participant requirement (10 participants) is met.
  • Presenters are allowed to set registration fees for their session. However, the fee must not be less than 1000 Rs per participant.
  • Workshops should be planned for 2.5 - 5 hours, depending on the content and engagement activities.
  • Presenters should specify any equipment or technical requirements (e.g., projectors, microphones) at least two weeks before the event to ensure all necessary arrangements are made.
  • Workshops that do not meet the minimum of 10 registered participants by the registration deadline may be subject to cancellation. Presenters will be informed in advance.
  • Presenters are encouraged to promote their workshops through their networks to increase participant enrollment. In addition, presenters may collaborate with industry professionals or invite relevant industry partners to co-present or support the workshop, thereby enhancing its value and outreach.
